| Brief history of the Organization: |
Over the last 25 years, MLAA has been known as a credible national level organization for its long efforts to provide and promote access to justice to the marginalized people, especially the rural women. Since mid 1980s, it has been active for resolution of conflicts through informal mediation (ADR) in the rural areas and has consequently reformed the traditional system of shalish in Bangladesh. |
| Project Objective: |
The broad objective of the project is to strengthening and institutionalizing the traditional Shalish system, and making effective and popularizing the village court,Arbitration Council to ensure access to justice of the poor people at grass root level.

* Village court is activated in 80% targetted Union
* 50% Ward level shalish committee can mitigate the disputes independently
* 16500 students of School/College are sensitized
* 10% student can protest the incidence of HR violation
