Mahideb Jubo Somaj Kallayan Somity (MJSKS) is a non-profitable non-Government rural development organization established in the year of 1972.In the initial stages MJSKS worked with the refugee for their settlement, those who are come back in the area for resettlement. After a certain period MJSKS realized that they have enough scope to work with the vulnerable groups for the well being of their socio-economic upliftment.
MJSKS has operated one project to reducing gender discrimination in one union of the Ulipur Upazilla.The main objective of the project is to change the gender role in the community. Women are encouraged to initiate productive activities besides the reproductive activities.

- To reduce discrimination in family where the women will be empowered to improve their respect, status and dignity through participation, decision-making process and recognition of household work for women/adolescent -Involve and activate the community leaders and mass people for playing supportive role in the family and society. - Formed vocal and vibrant family where women's and adolescent girls are enjoying equal opportunities by promoting for treatment, educational facilities, food intake and clothing’s

- 3000 family recognize the household work, women are in decision making part and dignity of women increased. School enrollment of girls child increased within 3000 tagted family. - Domestic violence reduced in 3000 family in terms of physical,oral torture, reduce dowry trend and early marriage in target area. - Community responsiveness and support increased to stop illegal divorce,collect dower money,maintenance cost. At the end of the project the following outcome will be achieved: `1.Established a gender bias free environment within the targeted families. 2. Knowledge and perception on family rights is increased among the community people. 3.The violence victim received support from the society. 4.Women and adolescent girls has accessed in productive activities and opportunities. 5.25 Village based Watch Committee have been formed and the committees have been contribute to reducing the domestic violence.
