Brief history of the Organization:
FIVDB was established in 1981. There are around 1200 staffs, Out of which 30% are women, staff drop out rate is very low .EC meeting held on 4 monthly at Dhaka. They are dealing with many big funds of Dutch Embassy, Aga khan Foundation, DFID etc.
There are many programs of FIVDB: Primary education, Adult literacy, Livelihood, Income generating activities. They are implementing Juvenile justice program since 2003. They have experience to deal with juvenile justice issue. Project personnel are well conversant on the program issue. One female staffs are in mgt level. FIVDB is a lead organization in the field of adult functional literacy in Bangladesh since 1981. FIVDB has developed basic and post-literacy courses used by many other NGOs to deliver adolescent and adult literacy services.

Project Objective:
National children protection mechanism strengthened through community, civil society and government duty bearers’ collective action.
Expected Outcome:
* A community based mechanism vertically linked with 88 Upazilla taskforce (UTF); 10 district taskforce and national actors are in place to protect the rights of children in conflict with law. * 40% Children in conflict with Law reintegrated and rehabilitated into society through social system/ process * 80% of 700 Children who are victim of violence and abuse are benefited through network of legal aid providers, Department of Social Service, media, police (Court inspector, Investigation officer), judge, bench officer, judicial magistrate etc.
Project Goal: An integrated community-based system of child protection developed against violence and abuse .

Strengthening District Task Force (DTF) on Juvenile Justice

Family Tracing and Reintegration of Children in the family,

Counseling and life-skill Training for children.
