| Brief history of the Organization: |
Since its foundation in 1979 by Ms. Valerie A Tailor, Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralised (CRP) is a national humanitarian voluntary organization which has laid great importance on the inclusion of disable people in the mainstream society. It provides treatment, training, rehabilitation & advocates for the rights of disable people to ensure their integration into the society. CRP¡¦s 100 bed hospital is the only one in Bangladesh which offer holistic patient care using a multi disciplinary team approach (MDT) for the Spinal Cord Injuries at Savar which is the head office. CRP- Mirpur, CRP- Gonokbari, CRP- Gobindapur, CRP- Nababganj & CRP- Manikganj are the other branches. In 1992 CRP established the Bangladesh Health Professions Institute (BHPI) to train health care professionals of an exceptional quality. In 1999 established the first telemedicine service in Bangladesh. To strengthen CRP¡¦s Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) program. |
