Project Title: Ensuring livelihood for Working Children at Automobile Workshop

Brief history of the Organization:
Community Participation and Development (CPD) is a local non-profit non-government organization. It was established in 1993 by a group of local enthusiastic social workers with a view of uplift the social and economic conditions of distressed women and children of different areas of Bangladesh. CPD is working in 9 slums of Mohammadpur area in Dhaka city, three border belt areas of Lalmonirhat of greater Rangpur and one border of Thakurgaon, one border of Dinajpur and Chhatak of greater Sylhet.

Project Objective:
1. To ensure mainstreaming 250 under age ( 7-11 years) working children by providing education, private and public health service , livelihood options through using withdraw mechanism from automobile workshop. 2. To ensure a conducive environment for 500 elderly working children (12-13 years) of automobile workshop through making sensitized the employers and other stakeholders.
Expected Outcome:
1. 500 under age children (age limit 7-11 years, 250 for FE and 250 for NFE ) has been withdrawn and got access to formal education and they have been regular followed up. 2. 500 elderly children (age limit 12-13 years) have been provided proper wages, received pure drinking water facilities, enjoyed holyday and recreation, and received opportunities to get involved in NFE. 3. 150 elderly children received opportunities to get involved in skill training for better livelihoods (IT, Mobile servicing, Block-batik, Tailoring), received opportunities to get involve in Automobile Training and got access to alternate job placement through skill training whose are in regular followed up. 4. 20 children (age limit 7-13 years) have been provided legal protection. 5. 500 children have been provided private and public health service. 6. 200 Automobile workshop owners have been sensitized.
Project Goal: Worst forms of child work are stopped and they are protected from poverty
