Based on Dhaka, 46 Districts of Bangladesh including Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna and Rajshahi metropolitan cities. The ditricts are :
Dhaka (Sabhar), Gazipur, Narayanganj, Narshingdi, Munshiganj, Faridpur, Rajbari, Maymensingh, Netrokona, Tangail, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, Feni, Comilla, Chandpur, Kustia, Meherpur, Jessore, Narail, Bagerhat, Pirojpur, Sirajganj, Pabna, Nator, Bogora, Gaibandha, Rangpur, Lalmonirhat, Kurigram, Jhenaidah, Magura, Chuadanga, Naogaon, Joypurhat, Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, Nilfamari, Sylhet, Maulavibazar, Habigonj, Barisal and Jhalakhati district, and Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna and Rajshahi metropolitans.

| Brief history of the Organization: |
Bishwo Shahitto Kendro (BSK), [In english, World Literature Center (WLC)] [popularly known as kendro, was established in Dhaka in December 1978 with the goal to build an informed, enriched and committed generation of future citizens for Bangladesh. The Kendro (or WLC or BSK), believes that family and educational institution are the two fundamental nuclei for comprehensive human resource development to face the challenge of alarming decline in quality of education and erosion of morale as well as human values in the recent days throughout the nation. WLC, since its emergence, has been striving for building an empowered, strengthened, humane and mentally enriched society through blooming the potentials of the young people, both at home and in academic institutions. The efforts of BSK include, among others, help them read world famous books/literature, enjoy good movies, listen to world classic music, and participate in debates and discussions, and participate in other cultural programs and social activities—all leading to the light after the dark tunnel. |
| Project Objective: |
The main objective of the project is to introduce an alternative book-reading source for the common people of Bangladesh (in the absence of a well-organized library system in the country). |
| Expected Outcome: |
The expected outcomes of the project are :
- 28 well equipped mobile library established in 46 district towns including 6 divisional cities;
- 20,000 new members/readers enrolled;
- 40,000 members (in 1000 spots/localities) borrowed and read books
- Around 1,000,000 books are read over the year (1 member@25 books in a year)
- Good number of Cultural Groups formed and organized
- Socio-cultural activities performed

The goal of the project is to contribute to the development of human resources of selected areas of Bangladesh, while the purpose is enlightenment of the people in general i.e. building an informed, enriched and committed generation well equipped with intellectual enrichment and moral values.

Procurement of vehicle (chasses), building body on the chasses and equipping them with books after
prcuring and processing them by cataloguing, jacketing and adding date-slip, book-card, book-pocket etc)
Survey/study for final selection of program districts, reconnaissance Survey for selection of spots/localities, motivational campaign and awareness building in selected localities/spots
Introducing/publicizing the Mobile Libraries in selected districts, enrollment of new members/readers and lending books among them
Forming cultural groups in deferent localities/spots, mobilizing them and arranging cultural programs
