Project Title: Strengthening Women worker’s Organization to Establish their Rights-(SWOER)

Brief history of the Organization:
BIVA is a non-government voluntary organization established in 08 November 1995. Since then it has been working for the betterment of the distressed people in the form of expansion of basic education, health consciousness, promotion of good governance and human rights protection.

Project Objective:
To reduce discriminations against women workers regarding job security and other violence issues. -To develop network and linkages of the working women’s organizations with trade unions, government departments, LGl, NGOs and other relevant agencies for obtaining peripheral supports. -To organize and activate the stakeholders in playing their advocacy roles to promote labor-management relationship and protection of legal rights. - To capacitate the women worker’s organizations so that they can protect their rights.
Expected Outcome:
- Unity of the women-worker’s organization will be enhanced, Organizations will be able select the discrimination issues for mobilization, and raise their voice to secure rights -LGI, Labor department, Trade Union, Media and Elite people will be involved in the project activities and pressurize employment authorities to neutralize the gaps in the job security issues by 40% more. -Media people will be more aware about the women workers situations, and will publish the issues in the medias and will play advocacy roles in favor of people’s rights claims. Workers rights will create a positive environment in the community in favor of W O s. - The stakeholders will be more active in playing their advocacy roles and discriminations will be reduced
Project Goal: Enhancing capacity of the women worker’s organizations to establish their rights.
Major Activity: Different awareness programs in form of group discussion, cultural programs, cluster gathering, Sharing with male workers, drama, folksong-Korcha, potsong, day observation etc. will be conducted incorporating the primary and secondary stakeholders.

The legal supports will be extended to the beneficiary are in three ways are as (1) Arbitration (2) Counseling (3) Prosecution .

The group people are stepping forward in getting access in field of AIGA, a total of 250 people have given skill development training on different viable trades
