| Brief history of the Organization: |
- ASF was established on 12th May 1999 with an aim to provide comprehensive assistance in treatment, rehabilitation and reintegration into society of survivors of acid violence by identifying and improving existing services or providing services where none are provided by existing organizations. The ASF is working with NGOs, the Government of Bangladesh and the International community to ensure the survivors better access to quality medical care and counseling services, criminal and legal justice systems,safe place to stay, providing training for new skills and finding employment.
- ASF is strongly involve to bring long-term changes in attitude and values which sanction and contribute to violent activities and discrimination particularly against women and children.

| Project Objective: |
1.Mainstream acid survivors within the society (having access to health, education, economic and social reintegration focusing on 10 districts).
2.Develop an effective mechanism to prevent the cause and effect of acid violence.

| Expected Outcome: |
-Increased capacity of 400 survivors to promote & protect their rights.
-Increased awareness/involvement of the community on addressing the cause and effects of acid violence issues of 10 districts.
-10 Partner NGOs are more active in providing services to the survivors and to prevent further attack
-Media are more active in promoting acid violence issues as a matter of public concern.
-10 districts District Acid Control Council (DACC) and National Acid Control Council(NACC), relevant ministries and departments are functional to review and developing policy, laws, system and services for the acid survivors & to prevent further attack.
-10 District Acid Control Coulcil (DACC) and relevant bodies are functional to provide necessary services to the survivors and to control illegal use of acid.
-Corporate sectors are more responsive to support acid survivors. At least 5 to 10 corporate/private office support survivors.
